Harpa opens its doors

The new concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavik - Harpa - opened its doors with an official weekend ceremony this past weekend. The first concert by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra took place on May 4.

The building is a striking addition to the international concert and conference scene in the city. Harpa will serve as a major tourism, conference and business hub, providing facilities for a wide array of programmes and international events.
