20 Aug 2012

Highlights:
  • Þingvellir National Park
  • Gullfoss waterfall
  • Geysir hot spring area

Tour Description:

Panoramas IcelandThis evening tour gives you the opportunity to see the highlights of Iceland under a bright and charming evening sky, reflecting a different light on the landscape.

We start by visiting the Þingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established in the year 930 AD. The area was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2004.
We continue to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall in the golden rays of the setting sun. From there we visit the geothermal area around the incredible spouting geysers of Geysir and Strokkur, echoing into the peaceful evening glow.

Perfect amount of time at all stops. I like this tour because it is shorter than the other Golden Circle tours (which are too long for what there is to see), and because this tour leaves the day free for something else.

We loved the tour and highly recommend it to any visitor to Island! It was a wonderful introduction to the islandic landscape, an experience we'll cherish for a long time.

excellent tour - really can't fault. Tour guide (sorry can't remember name) was great and all the sites well worth a visit . Meat soup may have been expensive at Gulfoss but as you can refill as many times as you want , it really is a bit of a bargain (we had 6 in our group and 2 soups fed us all!)
